14 Gal Fermenter Recommendations Please ?!

I owned a Unitank back in the day. I thought I would eventually harvest from it too but then I learned about harvesting from over built starters.

think I cold crahsed too early...high FG with keg ferment

I use a liquid ball lock, maybe 2 or 3 inch of vinyl, then a picnic tap as a sample valve. If your fermenting under pressure you’ll get foam but just let it sit for a bit.

    Stir/Shake/Harvest

I have read of them cracking on electric stoves but I’ve been boiling mine on my gas stove without issue for a few years. Maybe one day I’ll report back of the mess I’ve made. But I’ll likely continue to boil in the flask only because it makes me sleep better knowing it’s sanitized. it does...

Fermenting in corny, dip tube length?

For people using the floating dip tube, have you ever tried fermenting a heavily hopper beer without a bag or any type of filter? Such as a NEIPA. I ferment in a 15 gallon torpedo keg and am thinking of doing a 6-7 gallon ferment with 10-12 OZ of dry hops loose. Disaster waiting to happen?

    Considering a pump

So I pulled the trigger on a blichman riptide, the tri clamp version. I’m pretty excited to see how quick cooling is now. I’m also hoping that I can clean my kettle in place without disassembling each brew day. Wanting opinions on current idea for set up. Does this look ridiculous lol. I figure...

    Preferred software for brewers

I just subscribed to brew father. Very user friendly application that works on my iPhone which was very important to me. I know others have phone applications, but none that I knew of had a water calculator that worked on mobile.

5 Gallon System....thinking of jumping to 10 Gallon

I can brew 5 gallons on my system too, which I do when I’m making a beer I don’t think will be as popular with friends or something I won’t drink several of. A stout for example.

5 Gallon System....thinking of jumping to 10 Gallon

When I started brewing I started with 5 gallon batches. I built a keezer and purchased several faucets thinking I would have several beers on tap. It wasn’t until I started brewing 10 gallons that I was able to consistently have more than 1 faucet pouring. Unless your brewing more often or...
