Hops Fest IPA - too much hop?

Lol. I'm using 7 oz in a 3 gal batch. Maybe I have a problem.

How do I know if my beer is really any good?

I have my buddy can some of my beer and then put Treehouse labels on them. ;-) I have done this once and it was pretty funny. Honestly, I think it depends on what your goal is. Mine is to have delicious beers on tap in my house. I personally don't care what a beer judge says about my beer...

    Julius Clone by Trinity Brewers

Funny how the guy at TrinityBrewers takes credit for the S-04/T-58/WB-06 yeast trio. Check out the link Isomerization posted. Btw, I’ve had excellent success with the info posted in that thread. It’s very long but a good read.

    Northeastern IPA question?

I've switched to just throwing in my hops loose for single and double DH beers. 3 day cold crash drops everything nicely. Never using a bag again.

Isolated Yeast (Tree House): How to Identify and Characterize?

It was a 500ml starter. Current batch doesn't have that residual sweetness that my prior beers (just 1318) had. Had to compare apples to apples as all my beers are experimental. I've also started to dry hops without a bag, just throwing them in and relying on cold crashing to clear things up.

Most you’ve ever dry hopped with?

I used 7 oz in a my last 3 gallon batch (Citra, Ekuanot, Simcoe) and it was my most flavorful and aromatic by far. No grassyness, no O2 issues.

Isolated Yeast (Tree House): How to Identify and Characterize?

My last three gallon batch was 1318 with .7g T-58 and .2 WB-06. And a lot of hops. It was my most aromatic and drinkable beer to date by far. Going to try S-04 for the next three batches.

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

Gas line is the gas port on the keg. I feel the keg with star San, and then push it out with CO2 leaving the keg full of just CO2. When the beer goes in through the beer port on the keg, the CO2 is pushed out through the gas port on the keg. My transfer is purely gravity fed.

    Small Batch Fermentation Questions...

I'm using 4 gallon Anvil fermenters and love them. Racking arm is great. I keg to 2.5 gal kegs.

How can people possibly get super hoppy “juicy” NEIPA flavors so quickly

TH's business model is to brew 3000-4000 cases of beer and sell them all on site in 3-4 days. Their new place is probably paid off already. TH hyped? Please back this statement up. They have had lines of people buying their beer for more than 5 years. If it was just hype, they'd be out of...

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

Regarding closed transfers, I put a stopper in mine and cold crash for a few days. To keg it, I pull the stopper and replace with a piece of sanctities do foil. I'm going right from the valve on the fermenter to the beer line of the keg. The gas line goes in a jar of san star. I've thought...

Why Take so Long to Ferment your Beer?

For me: 10-12 days in the fermenter 3-4 days cold crash drinkable after 7 days in the keg but better at 10 So that's 20-23 days. Now that I have a keezer, I find that I'm not rushing the whole grain to glass thing anymore.

First Keezer Build Arctic King 5cu ft

    It's 23" on the compressor shelf. I'm using a 2x4 spacer.

    Base Malt in NEIPA

Has anyone ever verified that breweries are using flaked oats in their NEIPA's?

    Anxious

Wow, talk about overthinking something. You had 50 bottles. Now you have 49. Life is still good, right?

    first time BIAB

Due to being constrained to doing my boils on my stove, I do 3 gallon batches this way: I've got a 5 gallon kettle. I use 3.5 gallons strike water. Once the mash is done I pull the bag and let it drip, then place in a colander that sits on top of a 5 gallon bucket. I sparge with 1 gallon and...
