    Alabama vote.

Officially it's not legal to transport homebrew into Alabama but I don't think you'll have a problem unless you were pulled over and had a refrigerated truck full.

    Alabama vote.

Some of our lawmakers in Alabama are an utter embarassment. Listening to that clip from last year makes you wonder how some of them got voted in. I'm just glad my representative in this area is 100% for homebrewing and hoping maybe we can finally get this thing passed once and for all.

    Cheap Ebay seller.

Did you get free shipping ? Most of the big sellers on ebay don't rush out a shipment unless you buy the one or two day shipment. If you got a good deal and get your item in a reasonable amount of time , I wouldn't be in a hurry to blast a seller with a 0 stars.

Alabama Homebrew Legislation update (Wish 'em luck)

I listened to the audio of the Alabama house when they debated the homebrewing issue for over an hour. It was very sad to hear some of the stupid comments made from the opponents : *Children would become wino's with homebrew in the house *People would get sick drinking the homebrew...

    Old White Labs Yeast

I found a couple vials of White Labs British Ale Yeast WLP005 that I forgot about in the back of my frig with Best before dates of Feb-04-10. I just picked up some Sanke kegs and about have them ready to do my first 10 gallon batch so I was wondering should I use them to make a yeast starter or...

    Advice on new equipment

I use a bucket for primary and plastic carboy for secondary . You don't have to spend a lot of money to make great tasting beer but if you get hooked like myself and most homebrewers do , you will spend a lot of money.:D

    Unintentionally Sour Beer

Sounds like somewhere in your brewing process that some of your equipment that comes in contact with your beer has not been properly sanitized. It cannot be overstated that proper sanitizing is a must when making beer. I had the same problems in the past when I started homebrewing so its...

    Hello from Alabama

Hello all, I've been lurking for awhile and decided to start posting since I've gotten back into brewing. I did some brewing for several years mainly from kits but changed jobs and went on the road for awhile so I wasn't able to keep it going. Now that I finally have settled down...
