    So who's brewing this weekend?

Just pitched yeast into three fermenters of pale ale. Two with repitched wlp001 dry and one with San Diego.

    WLP001 Dry

I brewed a dry stout with it two weeks ago. That was 15 gallons split with Cali and US-05. Now I'm brewing 15 gallons pale ale that I'm going to repitch WLP001 in two fermenters and dry San Diego in the other.

Large Equipment: Where does it live?

I store most of my stuff in my 10x12 brew shed. I can set it up almost anywhere. I have a jobsite temporary power setup. It's also my fermentation chamber. I insulated it very well. Even when it's over 110F it stays 60F.

Voltage Controller - will this work?

I've been using this for quite a few brews now. No problems with it. I have another homemade SSVR-pot based boil control. This gets a tic more power to the element and has more precise control. A knob is nice. This is slow too get to zero. I always have it at zero before I shut it off.

    Back To Basics

Why is that important? Never mind. I'll probably do a PID for my HLT. My homemade amazonian boil control is working fine though. I can watch a thermometer. I waste less time that way.

    Back To Basics

Brewers friend is close. I have decocted before because I was off. I guess I could fire up the propane. Still the cooler is lighter than if it was full of beer and ice and it's meant to be carried. Full the brim I'd need two people. We're all different. My 80qt pot weighs more empty than the...

Or a helper. That's always nice.

    Back To Basics

I like my cooler. It holds temperature very well when it's full. The handles that makle it easy for me to carry to the compost.

    carb cap tee piece

I have. The size is easy to quick carb. I mostly use it to flush beer lines.

    cells in WLP pure pitch

The few purepitch packs I've used have far surpast my expactations for cell count and/or viability.

Any Other All Rounder (or other Fermzilla) Owners Have Issues Holding Pressure?

Keg lube on the lid o ring fixed my problems. The leak was so slow I didn't notice it until fermentation stopped. I added pressure daily to keep it at 15psi until I kegged it. A few times I've had to take the lid off to fix the dip tube and it roused the yeast.

    So who's brewing this weekend?

I brewed five gallons of a 4% 20 IBU light lager last week. I pitched one WLP-833 pure pitch. It fermented fast in the low 60s at 15 psi in my allrounder. It's just a starter. Yesterday I brewed a Festbier. I pressure transfered the light lager to a keg as the Festbier chilled. Then I pumped...

    Modelo especial clone

With Melanoiden malt 2% is noticable and 10% is quite strong. I think the Vienna is more than is enough here. Modelo Especial is not very malty.

    Another poor brewhouse efficiency question

My first mash tun was a five gallon water cooler. I never did get good consistent efficiency with it. I moved up to a 52 quart chest (with a low drain) and things improved. It's easy to stir and drains more complete. Now I use a 70 qt cooler. WIth 30 lbs 1.7 qt/lb and a single batch sparge it's...

Does dry hopping with yeast in suspension actually reduce hop aroma?

I brew my pale ales in buckets. Once the yeast has dropped I dry hop for ~three days. Not much more. Keg.

Does dry hopping with yeast in suspension actually reduce hop aroma?

I do think less yeast makes for more in the beer. I used to dry hop in secondary because of that. I've found out I can just add more hops.

    New to Corni Keg

You can prime it. Make sure the lid seals. You can even serve it at 4 volumes if it's balanced.

    WLP001 Dry

I bought one pack. I'm going to split a batch with it, US-05 and my current favorite Apex San Diego. I might get a brick of San Diego. https://labelpeelers.com/beer-making/beer-yeast/apex-cultures/apex-cultures-san-diego-pacific-ale-yeast-500g/

What I did for beer today

Finished making a 15 lb hopper and base for a Crankandstein 2DG. Almost all of it was junk I already had. My Barley Crusher is worn out.
