Good debate here. I brewed a Citra Wit last weekend. 2 oz of citra went in near the end of the boil. I also left out orange all together to see what kind of citrus flavor I could get out of a sorachi citra combo. You may say that this is not a proper wit bier, and I would not disagree. However...

I agree on the leinenkugel Berrywiesse. The only beer I have ever sent back was a bottle of Molly's chocolate stout from College green brewery in N. Ireland. Thin, sour, and flat and the bar claimed that was normal and not a bad bottle or batch.

Thats cool! I had the same issue with my stainless chugger head... I ordered the replacement march pump o-ring off Northern brewers website and that worked out fine.

I agree, it is really mild. I don't know how much would come through in something like a porter. I would do some experiments and mix a porter and coconut water in a pint glass. Once you work out a ratio I would definitely add it post boil.

Yep, it's a perfect fit for the 1.5 inch thermowell on top. It's also a perfect fit for the ranco temp probe.

That is crazy. Screw both of them. Cancel and get your money back and order some kettles from morebeer. They are nice and you will get them quick.

I ordered my Blichmann floor burner from Northern Brewer on 3/20, It was dropped shipped from Blichmann and I had it by 3/30. As for the burner, no wobble. I am really liking how quiet it is even when the gas is fully opened.

I picked up a Ranco digital for 75. Some people just want the simplicity of the Ranco or Johnson where all you need to do is plug it in.

I ended up drilling the original end cap for my airlock. I will keep an undrilled end cap on hand for when I need to pressurize.

I ordered the standard 20 inch thermowell from them. I probably should have gone with a custom size though. Because of the angle it will sit it might be a bit short if I ever do any 5 gallon batches. If you are going to use a tee, then you will definitely need a longer one than 20 inches. I...

The racking port is 1 inch and I have a 1 inch valve attached. Tri clover 1 and 1.5 inch fittings are actually the same size... they use identical clamps. Only the inner diameter is different. This is illustrated on the first page of posts for this thread.

That is a cap on the 2.5 inch thermowell (tee, thermowell, cap). I need to drill a small hole in it so I can run my type k thermocouple into it. I have not got around to that either.

You should have no problem using the first false bottom as long as you have not already added a valve to your keg. If that's true, get the false bottom and then make sure you drill the hole below the top of the FB. If you already added your valve and your sure it is going to be located higher...
