    You are correct sandlot is where Blue Moon was created. They changed it for mass market but the sandlot still brews the original and it's much better.

    Issue with stuck fermentation after pitching more yeast and increasing temp.

    You have to adjust the refractometer after fermentation, if your not doing that you are getting a false reading. Use something like this. https://www.northernbrewer.com/pages/refractometer-calculator

    I try an see how many years it has been going on and things like GABF pro-am and sponsors. While there is nothing wrong with supporting a new comp I would not usually ship to one. You can also try brewscene.com for a list of up coming ones.

    I am guessing there is no cheap option but there are capable aluminium pint bottles out there. One of the lhbs by me sells them all you need is a bench capper and you are good to go. All the benefits of a can with no crazy overhead.

    Welcome to the hobby. I live right near the brew hut and visit often. Now that you are in to homebrewing there is no going back. If you want to learn a lot and meet some other brewers in the area you should join a club there are a lot of good ones in the south metro area.

    My LHBS now sells the aluminum pints and they seem to work great and can be taken anywhere as you said, I do not see why you could not reuse the miller ones.
