    What do I do? (sparging)

Ok, Getting ready to brew tonight It's a Belgian strong so while at work I was running numbers. (5 gallon batch) It's a 17lb grain bill. So at 1.25 qt/lb I'm looking at 21.25 quart mash. 10 quart mash out which gives me about 9 quarts fly sparge. Now typically I run my sparge until it...

    Yeast starter viability

Ok. So I went to brew on Sunday and my stove took a crap (thankfully while I was doing my initial strike water ). I had a yeast starter in my fermentation chamber. I dropped the temp 40f. Should it be okay for a few more days?

    Candi Sugar equivalent

So I'm looking at this recipe http://www.candisyrup.com/uploads/6/0/3/5/6035776/gulden_draak_9000_clone_-_040.pdf which calls for 3lb if thier d-45 candi syrup. Would that go pound for pound conversion to Brewcraft Belgian Candi Sugar?

    Bottling a lager

Ok. I keep reading different things. Here's what I did with a Boston Lager clone. Primary for 10 days Secondary for about 21 days Bottled and primed with corn sugar and holding at 68 degrees. In 2 weeks I plan on gradually bringing it down to about 34 degree over a few weeks. I know people...

    Am I doing efficiency right?

Ok. So first the recipe http://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/recipe/view/672/spotted-clown-new-glarus-spotted-cow-clone- Only change is it used caramel 15 and only got 5.25 gal. Gravity was 1.062 which I figured at 74.66% Is that right?

    Will it fail?

Final question. What difference would I see going from this setup to an actual false bottom?
  9. WaltG

    Will it fail?

False bottom will come later. Right now it's just a cost issue.
  10. WaltG

    Will it fail?

Sorry. My bad. Main grid is glued just not the 2 parts that are connected by the clear tube.
  11. WaltG

    Will it fail?

Ok. So just went from 5 gal to 10 gal mash tun. On 5 gal my cpvc fit exactly through hole with no leaks. With this one I had to add a ball valve. Does this look like it will hold up?

    Bottle priming

I have a bottling bucket, just seems some are more carbonated than others.

    Bottle priming

I'd thought about using these to bottle prime. They're accurate enough for handloading ammunition. Your thoughts on homebrew?

    fermentation Freezer

Ok...so.... Lid barely closes with carboy. Can I just drill a hole in the lid and run hose up to airlock?

    fermentation Freezer

So I just have a male and female plug on my controller, just turn the freezer all the way down and plug it in?

    STC-1000 wiring

Not sure if you can see. Did I do this right. Left side to male plug to wall. Right side to freezer. Wiring cooling only. Also is sensor wired either way?
