    1 pack of S-189, enough?

Oh okay. I always have extract that I keep around just for starters, so I'll try that. Thanks!

    1 pack of S-189, enough?

I thought about that, but I've seen a lot of people saying you shouldn't do that with dry yeast. I'm new to lagers, because I havent had the set up for it till recently, so it's a little new to me.

    1 pack of S-189, enough?

So, I have one pack of S-189 dry lager yeast with a best by date of 11/19. I was planning to brew a beer with it with an OG around 1.044-.047 range. Will I be okay with the one packet? I see a lot of mixed info about how many dry yeast packs to use for lagers. Some say more some say it doesnt...

Oops! All Beeries - purple pale ale

It's one if the biggest glasses I have. It's how I tell myself I've only had one or two without feeling like a lush. I think there was some conversion, just not sure how much. I can't complain. I really like it, although wonder if some of the other ingredients might have had an effect on head...

Oops! All Beeries - purple pale ale

It's pretty good? A sweet pale ale. I like it. Kinda bummed how much the color dropped out (like completely). The hostess donuts in the back ground give me another idea though.

    Multibrew brew days

It's a planning thing, mostly with beer style. Usually something with a normal hop addition, some with mostly late additions, and something based around hop stand whirlpool additions. Two hazies is out of the question. I just cant manage the clock for the late whirlpool additions properly...

    Stomach bug ruining my homebrew

Thanks, I feel fine now. Just funny to me how stuff like that works. I guess I should just bottle some up for another time, and clean the kegs for the next round of new beers WITHOUT the pukey memories.

    Stomach bug ruining my homebrew

I've been sick from drinking before, but the association is different. Oh well, like I said, they're not my best work anyway. Maybe keep them around till my new ones are ready, and see if I can find devilish feelings off. Its all in my head....

    Multibrew brew days

I have 3 set ups so it's not bad. I also have to go somewhere to brew right now, so it's better to do them all at once.

    Multibrew brew days

That's about the same time frame as what I'm at. I also run my chiller water into the empty kettles for cleaning which helps a little with clean up. Try to clean as I go. Idk, theres something almost zen about getting absorbed in my brew day, so it doesnt feel much like a chore, but it does get...

    Stomach bug ruining my homebrew

I had a stomach bug last week (a real one, not a drank too much one) It came on a little slow, and now the beers I have on tap are a little harder to drink. They aren't my best brews, but they also seem to trigger that sensory response a little bit, that makes me go, "last time I drank this I...

Oops! All Beeries - purple pale ale

It was a grayish purple going into the fermenter. Hoping it looks more purplish after it ferments and clears.

    Yeah, pretty much.

Oops! All Beeries - purple pale ale

I thought about it, but then I figured it would just turn to mush in the mash anyway, and then I could stir it in, which is what ended up happening. I honestly wasnt thinking about the conversion being an issue. I was more concerned about the extra sugar from the cereal itself.
