Did my child just poison my beer?

Good idea. So based on what's I've read, I'm pretty sure I'm fine. Sime bulbs can be toxic, but the ones I was looking at,, it seems like you'd have to actually eat them to feel sick, and it would take more then one little bulb. Apparently they used to boil and eat tulip bulbs back in the day...

Did my child just poison my beer?

You know, that's a good point, but maybe this is a canary in the coal mine situation. She was playing with the unknown flower bulbs and was perfectly fine. I think we're all good here. Thanks little one, I guess.

Did my child just poison my beer?

She came with me to the brew store today. I think she's hooked now.

Did my child just poison my beer?

I'm mashing a BIAB brew. Thanks for the peace of mind guys! Sounds like I'm safe.

Did my child just poison my beer?

I'm brewing the garage when my toddler came in pulled the lid off my kettle and through some random flower bulb in that she found in the grass. I'm assuming I'm safe since I got it out pretty quick and it's just one tiny bulb in several gallons of wort. But am I gonna die from drinking this?

    Great Lakes Hops Proprietary Varieties

Did you ever hear back on anyone these? I ordered some bergamot and Mackinac recently from hang em high hops. They sell them in different sizes, not just the 6oz cans. I'm planning to use them for some ipas over the next few months.

    Poppet question

Yeah, sorry, I meant the whole post poppet set up. The conversion kit looks good. I guess I could always get some extra pin lock disconnects to switch in and out when I need too.

    Poppet question

Can I just switch my pin lock poppet out for ball lock? My kegerator is set up primarily for ball lock but I've got 3 pin lock kegs. I'd like to turn one or two in to ball lock kegs so I can switch them out easier. Is that something I can do or do they not fit the same?

    How would this taste?

He likes it sweeter than that though. I guess if you just make hard seltzer and back sweeten it though it should work right?

    How would this taste?

You're probably right, but my step dad has gotten into flavored "malt beverages" like Natty Rush, or Pineapple Steel Reserve. So I'm trying to come up with ideas for, what I call, flavored garbage beers for him and my sister. I made one by fermenting a gallon of fruit punch and backsweetening it...

    How would this taste?

If I ferment and oak a sugar wash and then mix it with some diet cola soda stream mix, would it taste like a whiskey coke?

    Philly Sour Review

In the low to mid 70s, I'm pretty sure.

    Philly Sour Review

Oh, and no simple sugars, with the exception of the guava and mango I added to one of them. My first try was just a blonde type base, and the second time around I added fruit. Both were great.bother were fruity, one was just more distinct in its fruitiness.

    Philly Sour Review

When I just pitch the one pack I get a nice citrus and stone fruit flavor, that I love. The repitch though is definitely more on the bland side.

    Philly Sour Review

I was just using a full pack for a 5.5 gallon batch of 1.050-1.060 beer. I was wondering if this is why I got less flavor on the repitch version though. Maybe I over pitched, and that caused less flavor production? Idk.

    Philly Sour Review

I would compare the sourness to a glass of orange juice. Have you ever had Rogue's Combat Wombat? That's what it reminds me of. I have done copitching, and I know that works well for people, but for me I could never get the consistency I wanted. Sometimes there would not enough tartness...

    Philly Sour Review

So, I've made 3 beers with this yeast so far. Two hazies, one with fruit, and one fruited pale ale. This yeast is great. The two hazies were two of my favorite brews recently. The other was just kegged, so maybe it'll be good. The main thing I will say is that the two hazies were made with fresh...

    Grain spill

Yeah, I need to stock up anyway. I'm just gonna toss it. It was free and getting pretty old anyway.
