    Hmm,i really want to brew this one as my next.I'll do some searches on culturing yeast and see what i think about it.It Can't be any harder than Mycology,i had good luck with that.As for boil overs,i am using a keggle,i should not have to worry about a boil over on a five gallon batch with that...

    Changing to vodka now.Thanks. Thanks for the info! I can get 7 gallons of hot tap water to a boil in 45 minutes,the keggle sits over two burners so That's the only reason it works.Not a chance with one.I have a turkey fryer,but i was thinking of going electric for the keggle.When It's hot...

    Should i be worried?

    I just did my first brew monday,and the only think i screwed up is using easy clean as a sanitizer.I just assumed like an idiot it was a no rinse sanitizer.I'm sure some of it made it in to the fermenter,i rinsed the ferementer with it and did not dry it,all my hoses and i also filled my airlock...

    Ok thanks,i just put the fermenter on the floor and opened the door more and the temp of the inside of the chamber dropped a few degrees already.

    I think i may have screwed up some,i used the Easy clean that came with my kit as a sanitizer.I'm sure some made it in to the wort,i hope It's Ok.My airlock is also filled with it too.Eithrer way It's going to be drank.

    Thanks Man!,The yeast package had no indication for temp.It was a Muntons dry yeast,looking back i should have got better yeast but i had it so it will be compared to next time.Which will be in a few days.I want Lot's of beer.

    Great progress on the keggle!,On my way to first brew!

    I have not even cleaned up the cut yet,it was very clean.The plasma cutter i used was great,way better then the one i used to have.I will touch up the cuts once i cut the hole for the ball valve.

    After borrowing a plasma cutter and buying 50 bucks worth of consumables i was on my way!.I made a simple jig in literally five minutes out of exhaust pipe that sat in the tap port.Thanks to you guys for the ideas!I just notched the exhaust pipe for the plasma torch to sit in,it worked great...

    Curious as to why the plasma cutter cuts were so hard to clean up?I had one for a while and the few times i used it it made the nicest clean cuts of any tool i have used.

    Ok so if i did use the port on the top i would have to use electric heat right?I would imaging a flame under a fitting would not be good.
