How would you attatch the collar to the lid?..The hinges would not reach the freezer body?

I baught a Frigidair 9 cf freezer,but I'm having a hard time deciding between a tower or faucets and a collar.I know i can fit more kegs with as collar but I'm not really concerned with that now.Are there any advantages to either set up?,will i have to cool the tower somehow if i decide to go...

It takes about 30 minutes to boil,never timed it but It's not long at all for about 7 galloons of water to boil.I leave them both on all the time.For the elements just got some pvc collar thingies from lowes,put them over the elements and wires and filled with a two part epxy.

1500 watt,the high density ones.I have them both switched but run them both all the time.I like a heavy boil.Never had a problem with scorching,was a bit worried about that when initially setting it up.

I've been brewing for a while now and have never seen this in any of my fermenters.The top layer of this beer is a different color,way darker.Is this normal and just something i have not run into yet?
