Conical Fermenter from NTO Tank- Anyone use?

Came across this tank: https://www.ntotank.com/15gallon-acerotomold-white-inductor-cone-bottom-tank-x8504006 and wondered if anyone uses one? If so- how easy is it to drill and add a spigot to drain off above trub? Looks great and great price....any comments/thoughts welcomed.

Conical Fermenter from NTO Tank- Anyone use?

Haven't been on here in years....looked down the forum list and saw "fermentation" and figured this was the place. Can I "move it" or should I just repost then delete this one?

    home brew supply shops in......NJ!

I was hoping to have 6 gallon carboys made with glass spigots made into them, but turns out you cant "weld" different types of glass together. The glass used for carboys isn't borosilicate.

    home brew supply shops in......NJ!

The fact that there are none (that I know of) in Cumberland/Salem/Cape May counties would make it unique. Finding out how many homebrewers would be tough I would think. Any ideas how?

Is this a good Incubator for yeast culturing?

It's a Gilson LabStir. It can handle up to 800ml and has a variable speed control.

Is this a good Incubator for yeast culturing?

Thinking of Culturing my own yeast, will this do well? http://bit.ly/dwTTN0 It's about 2x the size at 1/3 the cost of this "REAL" incubator: http://bit.ly/9ZyEkC I have a VERY thin mag stirrer (about 1/4" thick!") that will fit in it nicely. Any insight appreciated! Thanks- Rob

    Priming in Keg?

Hi Guys! So....it's been 2 weeks in the keg priming. I let a quick release on the 20th as suggested. Do you all think it's ready to go? If not naturally, I could always force carbonate, right? Anyway, thanks for any insight.:ban:

    Priming in Keg?

You guys are great. I am really glad I joined! I think I will pull the pressure relief for a split second. I primed with 5oz (i believe) of sugar.

    Priming in Keg?

    OK, but here's my REAL stupidity: I don't have CO2 here. It's at a friend's house.

    Priming in Keg?

I only took a initial gravity before the primary! I FORGOT TO DO IT... I am (maybe unduly) going nuts. All I can think about is shrapnel in my basement.

    Priming in Keg?

Extract recipe/Amber Ale: I did a primary ferment in a carboy for a week. There was basically no bubbling at all in the airlock. I then racked straight into a 5 gallon soda keg with the sugar to prime for a few weeks (this was yesterday). Is this OK? I thought a steel keg that can handle...
