    Brewed two 5 gallon batches Sat, Cream ale and Tank 7 clone from AHS. Sitting at the computer between stereo fermenters bubbling away. Fine music. Oh well, time to go to work for another week. Cheers, D

    Austin HS sells great buckets that seal very well. Get a bucked lid tool, you will need it. D

    Search "Vorlauf" effect. If you do this your strainer will not plug till the end. D

    From the looks you need longer and heavier tap handles to get full rotation. Might try green Loctite on the backer nut. Cheers, D

    Fermentation Temp Question

    Cold Iowa winter, I have four buckets at different places around the house to keep proper temps. Lager in the mud room, Ales in the kitchen, basement and living room. It's like an Easter egg hunt. Love the cold will be doing 5 gal. a week till spring. D
