Whoops. I typed the recipe up wrong. The first four pounds of DME are extra light DME, not wheat. Only the final pound (hence, 20% total) was wheat DME.

5488.8 My wife and friends can't get enough of this stuff! Though I've moved to kegging, I find bottling works better with apfelwein. Easier to transport to parties or give away to friends.

The stuff I got was the 3/16" beer line from AHBS, and should be quality stuff.

The kegging is going well. I have fixed all leaks in my system, put my Irish stout on the gas with the "set it and forget it" method, and got 10' of 3/16" beer line, and have balanced my system at about 42 degrees, at 12 psi. Lovely pours! One problem - the first pint of the day has a...

Forgot to mention - you could try Sweetwater Tavern in Centreville. Part of a local chain of restaurants, they have five of their beers on tap at a given time. Not too bad, and really good food, too.

+1 on the Old Dominion brewpub. There's a Dogfish Head Alehouse in Falls Church, VA about 45 minutes east of Ashburn, near my place. Good food and great beer.

I love Victory stuff, especially their Prima Pils and Golden Monkey. Alas, their restaurant is going to be partially closed while I'm there (sandwiches only), and will close altogether for renovations, to reopen next year.
