Subscribed, I would like a shot at this as well!

    Frosted Orange

There are lots of comments on this thread where I tried a few batches of hefe with oranges trying to get a good orange flavor out of it. Take a look at this thread for ideas. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f70/orange-blossom-special-122554/ Here is a comment I made last year specific to the...

    Frosted Orange

The orange juice will pretty much just ferment away.. and do not put the peel in unless you want some serious bitter. I recommend using the zest from the orange only. If you want a lot of orange flavor, you can cut up and freeze some oranges and add them to the primary or secondary (if you...

Keg will NOT carbonate - no matter what!

Haha, my guess would be that they gave you helium and did not know the difference. Thats really funny though!

    Which keg system to buy?

Welcome to kegging! I like to support my LHBS, but I am cheap and they are not open 24/7. I order most of my stuff online. I usually try to stop in to visit Chuck and buy a few odds and ends.

    Brewmasters Warehouse

That would be some serious awesome right there! I would think parsing BeerXML would be doable and keeps the format open to almost all of the brewing apps.

For people who have BeerSmith Software-Is it worth it?

I like it as well. I used the trial version, and was still figuring out some of the little things when I purchased it. There are some nice tools all tied into one package, and it creates nice brew sheets to break down a brew day. Well worth the low cost!

    Pacman yeast problem!

Yeah, get a controller and get those temps stable! I have a love controller, works great.

    Too lazy to bottle.

Sounds like someone is just itching to get into bottling a single large stainless steel bottle!

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Brewing 10g of BM's centennial blonde tomorrow. Nice cool weekend like this in Phoenix, we have to take advantage!

Apflewein mistake, can I fix it?

How long has it been in the primary? I've done a few batches, and it takes mine at least a month and a half to clear up after adding only dextrose.

    Better Bottle Website!

I have some ported buckets I used to ferment in, but cleaning the valves is a requirement and a pain. I ditched all of them for standard ale pails. I have a few better bottles for wine/apfelwein and maybe to secondary (very rare).

    New Hops!

Damnit! I would have bought a pound of Ahtanum when I bought the others a couple days ago =(

The bandaids are strong with this one

I had this problem once on my first batch of Eds Haus Pale Ale.. I point all fingers at the recalled Nottingham yeast though, and I've never had that problem since. The wife and I still drank all 5g of it, we just tried to cover it up with slices of oranges. Wasn't too bad if you drank a few...

Do you refill or exchange your CO2 bottles

Exchange.. I think an exchange on my 20lb is like 15 bucks I think. Been awhile though, I have a few tanks and don't usually exchange them until I am on the last tank.

    cheapest place for simcoe hops?

I know its been said, but Steeler77 has them for 1.25/oz.. thats 20/lb. I just ordered a pound of simcoe and a pound of warrior from him.

    Free (for most) Newcastle Glass.

Awesome, I haven't had Newcastle in years.. and I can't complain about getting a free glass!

    No more rehydrating. I sprinkle!

Chuck is awesome.. and I am also a sprinkler! I rehydrated on my first batch, and all the rest have been sprinkle (dry) or starter (liquid). Get your sprinkle on!
