    I think a starter is a good Idea for any beer !! Buying 2-6 yeast vile gets expensive .. I try to reuse yeast for several beers ... From your primary take a small sample of beer / wort and put it in a vile ... You'll have free yeast for ever!!!! Clean tools make clean beer!!! HB on IPhone

    How long 7-12 days? What then rack to secondary , lower temp back to 46-50..

    I wouldn't use a washer machine you need to sanitize them ... Depending on how dirty they are the small opening may not allow enough soap in the bottle. plus detergents will ruin head retention ... Use 22 oz bottles wash with warm water use PBW 1 tp per gallon , rinse with same temp water...

    beer and water dont mix the sani / water will rise to the top rack the beer off the the keg leaving the water / sani behind..
