    I know this. 9 batches and ny first time not chilling. I bought a wyeast smacked it and i decided to wait till it was fully swelled. Also people at one time used to not have chillers. I think I'll be okay this one time. :)

    Yup bottle it if u got a good fg reading. Bottle condition for 2-4 weeks higher the temp the better. I just had an imperial blonde 8.5% or so bottled about close to 3 weeks at 63 dagrees and its tasting good, im sure its a bit young but really drinkable! :)

    Another reason I hate marketing

    +1 on this I seen this trend about 8 years ago when I got out of BMC's and was ordering sam adams on "import" at resturants. im sure in america somewhere along the lines that has to be false advertisment. But at the same time it is america. And BMC have plonty of money to say or change rules...

    Earwigs in my primary - chances of infection?

    Maybe the Alcohal might neutralize your earwigs? Thats my guess. If it was me id go with the flow and make a cool name out of it. :)

    Yup, the only time i crank it its if I need to loose some volume, so I dont have to top off my full boil.

    Hmmm not sure if this is a right anwser but I just used 6# of mutons light DME for a IPA and mu OG was 1.059 if I remeber right. Edit: looked at my notes 60 dagrees hydro reading my og was 1.059

    Yeah, I havent tasted it sense brew day ( couldt tast the orange) but I put it all in primary didt use a bag for it thought it might give an extra flavor of orange to the IpA sense I was using all cascade. Also gonna dry hop with cascade havent thought about how much. 1 -2 oz for dry hop sound good?

    To boil LME or not to boil LME?
