What an interesting concept. Wonder if he gets any "sponsorships" from the bars.. :mug:

Starter or no starter??? Quick response needed.

You sure you're not thinking about re-hydrating? A starter takes a couple days.

My DIY wort chiller... How'd I do?

It was not nearly as bad as I thought... after I made the initial bottom loop, I was able to hold onto that to form the subsequent loops going up. I thought it would be a mangled mess, but the outer loop looks very uniform (moreso then some of the ones I saw at my LHBS)... the inner coil not...

    Cherry Options...

Thanks for the input.... I like a mild flavor. I picked up a can at Midwest Supplies yesterday for $13. I love living 10 mins away from this place. I think I'm gonna tinker a bit. put 1 can in the secondary, and bottle 1/2 of it, then add some of the extract, and bottle that.

    Cherry Options...

How's the cherry flavor and aroma in yours?

    Cherry Options...

I have got my first batch of cherry stout from Midwest in the primary. From what I read (and have experienced with other cherry brews) the flavoring can produce a cough-syrup like taste. Trying to avoid that, I'm thinking I will add some form of cherry to the secondary. I'm wondering...
