What I did for beer today

The whole Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG) frequently share design philosophies - often right down to the chassis. About 85% of the service procedures for my Audi S4 begin with removing the entire front clip

What to do with starsan after keg purge

I use RO water for my Star San solution and it never turns cloudy. I've had batches go 6 months and they're always still bright, and the pH is still well below 3. Cheers!

What to do with starsan after keg purge

fwiw, I also maintain a ~5.5 gallon Star San reservoir to enable keg purges, and I also reuse it, unless it's about time to mix up a fresh batch... Cheers!

    Spot the Space Station

Looks like the 10th Starship mission could happen as soon as Sunday evening between 19:30 and 20:30 ET https://www.spacex.com/launches/starship-flight-10 Will it be yet another yard sale, or will they actually complete an entire mission plan. Stay tuned!

    Any Issues With Caps?

I still have my Ferrari Super Agata capper for capping occasional road beers, never had problems with it, but I did keep the bell lightly lubed. Your bell isn't obviously out of round from my vantage point... Cheers!

When was the last time you lubricated the inside of the capping bell? Cheers!

    Regulator for 3 kegs

Yes, a "2-way" manifold would be a good choice. Preferably one with 1/4" MFL connections instead of barbs so you could switch your lines to the highly popular EVABarrier tubing at some point. Also, the shut-off valves should have integrated spring-loaded "check valves" that help prevent beer...

    Regulator for 3 kegs

It's a bit hinky but it'll play. The run with the two gas connectors at least provides a way to charge just one keg and shut off the other. A more conventional setup would have the wye first then independent shutoffs to each connector - or use a 1:2 gas beam that has shutoffs on each outlet...

    Windows 11

That's not a Microsoft release, it's a fanboi hack... Meanwhile, folks running W11 might want to put a hold on updates for awhile, as the KB5063878 security update and the KB5062660 preview update carry a payload that might turn an SSD (and apparently, HDDs as well) into smoking holes wrt data...

    Kegging vs Bottling

When I bottled I took the same advice and would fill a couple of 12 ounce soda bottles along with the 50-something long necks, leaving a similar headspace volume. After about a week the soda bottles would have "hardened" enough to be obvious the conditioning was proceeding apace, but I'd still...

    Yeast Stopped after 5 days

With a respectable yeast pitch, after 6 days I'd be concerned if a batch didn't come close to if not hit its expected terminal gravity. Carry on. Cheers!

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

The closest fractional inch OD for 8mm is 5/16" so you'd need a stemmed push-in adapter. Any of these would work... https://www.freshwatersystems.com/products/john-guest-reducer-stem-5-16-x-3-8-stem?variant=37902521073848...

How do I disassemble this tower to clean the lines?

The unit line resistance used in that article will likely cause pain and aggravation - a 5 foot length of 3/16" ID beer line simply will not provide the resistance needed. This page provides a line length calculator that actually results in a satisfactory pour...
