    Favorite Brand of Coffee?

I stock up the freezer when 8 O'Clock goes on sale at the grocer .. "buy one get one". Put it in a freezer zip lock bag for storage. When needed .. give it a fresh course grind in the coffee grinder .. and into the French Press .. and make it strong. As good as .. anything expensive that I try.

My first AG batch - a comedy of errors

I wouldn't sweat it. Mark it down as a learning experience. Take good notes and adjust next time. You will probably be surprised and your beer will taste great. I've never used a braid .. but highly recommend a false bottom. My last batch .. I floated my grain bed (matched my run off rate ...

    Building a hop spider questions

.. a tomato can works well too. It may not be the ideal material .. but it did hold "tomatoes" .. that may have been "cooked in the can" .. so the can received some sort of "food grade treatment". Still .. it's not touching the wort .. but is just holding the hop bag .. open .. and in place...

Some ideas and actions ... I had solving my air leak pickup tube problems ... I have found .. If you have air spaces in your syphon line .. you can have problems getting flow below your ball valve height. I also make sure I am using a long enough length of tubing (about 6'). Make sure your...

    Keg Tapping Issue

Sounds like you need to practice with the other keg that you have. Put some water in the other keg. Practice ... sealing the keg .. testing the pressure .. tapping ... and dispensing .. with water. Moving that water ... will be good practice .. for when you clean your beer lines. I mix my beer...

    Keg Tapping Issue

On a corny .. the 12 point star post side is the "gas in" side .. the 6 point post side is the "beverage out" side. On a Spartanburg keg ... the post with the slits cut in the bottom are the "gas in" side.

    Kegging problem

I've had sediment clog the "liquid out" even though I am force carbonating my corny kegs. I sanitize the "out post" .. have a bucket or spare keg .. also...

Not like a handtruck - just a rolling dolly. Needed a wide footprint and stability for conical stand legs to minimize possibility of tipping or turn over when conical full of wort. The stainless steel stand legs are braced and held in position to keep from tipping. Does a good job.
