    I rinsed my whole arm in diluted bleach to attach a piece in my fermenter... Everything was fine.

    I wish I could find "Hop Juice" from left coast brewing up here in Alaska. Its like biting into a hop, so fresh and crisp and bitter..... THATS what I like. Everything that has to do with the hop itself.

    Great info mmccurdy. What about just using the fridge as an insulated box(no power), with the heater inside. And to fix the temp issue just wire a small computer fan inside? Very curious as I plan to do this some time soon.

    What about a small personal heater w/ thermostat built in? Wouldnt that work? It would just cycle on every so often to push out a little heat.

    I'm assuming they were fresh hops, that should be a given. How long after you bought them did you store them for, and at what temp? Just curious. can you post that last recipe you brewed just for reference. Also maybe some of your brewing practices/techniques.

    1st: you should have crushed the seeds 2nd: bottle and wait at least 3 weeks to condition. Will most likly taste good after 2 but the longer the better in most cases. congrats, 1554 is an awesome beer.

    100ml of yeast solids is a pretty decent ammount, and judging by pabloj's calculations you should be right on the money.

    nice manifolds guys. I just like my SS braid better because I can stir around it, not that it really makes a huge difference.

    If you really want to prime each bottle use the coopers drops, super easy. Otherwise get a bottling bucket and prime it all at once.

    glad I could help jrcomito. The first thing I built when starting AG batches was an immersion chiller. Then again I only made one extract batch with the kit my wife bought me, then jumped right into AG after I made my mash tun and chiller.

    Missed my OG tonight

    my last 2 batches have been under 5 gallons because it is so dry up here in Alaska during the winter. I really need to work on my boil off calculations really though, those couple of beers dont mean a thing and I dont worry about it.
