    ProFlow Camlocks + thermoplastic tubing?

Im using a chugger pump and it does suck the inlet side tubing shut on the thin walled stuff. Its not self priming but it still generates suction on the inlet.

    ProFlow Camlocks + thermoplastic tubing?

Thanks Jon this gives me some hope. According to brewershardware the OD of those barbs is .625" so i think there's a chance this will work.

    Loosening up a camlock

i actually don't mind that they are tight, sure it might take more effort to close them, but boiling liquid is passing through it so i'd rather be too tight than lose.

did you try boiling the tubing first to soften it up? THats what the guys at northern brewer recommended to me a few minutes ago.

How do you clean/sanitize your CFC?

i just built mine and haven't used it yet, however I've seen where people say that running boiling wort through it for a few minutes is sufficient for sanitizing it. THats what i plan on doing.

    ProFlow Camlocks + thermoplastic tubing?

Has anyone try to stretch thermoplastic tubing over the 1/2" mpt pro-flow camlocks? I like the rigidity of the thermoplastic tubing, I bought thin walled silicone and my chugger sucked it shut on the inlet side. I'm now debating on whether to go silicone or thermoplastic. So to summarize 1...

    tygon vs silicone

Yeah did a function test on my brewstand today and I'm going to need to replace my tubing. I bought the 1/2" el-cheapo silcone off amazon and my chugger is sucking it shut. Don't buy the thin walled silicone, you'll just end up having to buy the thicker stuff.

New Center Inlet Chuggers and Camlocks

i was thinking about getting the center inlet style, but opted not to because the cheapest way i could reduce to 1/2 mpt was after ~$20 pre shipping worth of adapters from mcmasters.

    pumps no power switch?

k, i'm no electrician, I'll leave that switched outlet thing for a future DIY. Thanks for the reply

    pumps no power switch?

Probably a dumb question but is it normal for chugger/march pumps to not have a power switch? You just plug them in for on, unplug them for off?

    Chugger Pump Availability Pool

I built my wallace style stand, just need a pump. Been waiting for a chugger for a couple of months, the new shipment was supposed to be available for sale ~23March. I thought it would be appropriate to start a pool for the date they will actually be available for purchase, so that we can...
