    Intertap beer faucets

I have 10' Bev-Seal Ultra lines, keezer at 38°-40°, around 10 psi, and both Perlick 650SS and Intertap flow controls, and I get a smooth, consistent pour from all faucets. Am I a minority here?

Intertap vs perlick flow control facets: reviews, experiences, or other?

I have both on my keezer. I prefer the Perlick FC mechanism - up=faster flow, down=slower flow. The Intertap flows fastest at the center position, and moving either up or down from center slows the flow. The tubing that goes on the Intertap growler filler is fairly large, and since I bottle...

    Noo! I messed up

I like to use Better Bottle DryTap airlocks. No liquid, no suck-back. I can't find them on any of my usual online shops at the moment, but HERE'S A LINK to the BB website. I only attach a hose into sanitizer solution when there's bugs around (probably overly cautious), but most of the year...

    Has anyone grown Neomexicana hops?

Not being much of a gardener, I'm just going by what I've read in books and what "they" say. The common line is to keep cutting back shoots until after the last frost, but I've had shoots live through frost and still give me loads of cones come fall. I'm just not willing to apply my own...

    Has anyone grown Neomexicana hops?

I would say a light frost would be okay, but a hard freeze might not be so great. It'd probably be best to cut them back until you can be relatively certain of warmer temps. We had some warmer weather lately, so I was afraid I'd have similar problems. Fortunately mine stayed underground.

Still making bad beer after 30+ batches.

Agreed. Used with distilled water, the StarSan solution will last a long time. I usually keep a batch of sanitizer for 1-2 months at a time, sanitizing EVERYTHING with it, and I rarely have an infected beer. I have a spray bottle that I haven't changed the StarSan in 3-4 months! I wash...

    Intertap beer faucets

I've only filled 12 oz bottles. It's a little tight for my liking. The Perlick filler tubing is similar in size to a traditional bottling wand. The Intertap is much bigger.

    Intertap beer faucets

The tubing from a Perlick 600 series filler can fit inside the tubing from the Intertap - the thing's huge! That said, the Perlick filler fits perfectly into the standard Intertap spout. That's what I use, and I've had a lot of luck with it.

    New Mangrove Jack's strains?

To follow up from one of my earlier posts, the M21 Witbier turns out a very nice beer! I'm getting ready to brew an English Brown with it. I can't recommend it because I've never done it before, but it seems like it should work. I was originally going to use it in a bitter, but I changed...

    Intertap beer faucets

Ooo, forgot about those! They don't work with the flow controls though, so if you wanted FCs for non-dog related reasons you're out of luck.

    Intertap beer faucets

Sadly, no. That said, it does reduce flow to a slight trickle, so if caught in time it shouldn't be too big of a mess. If that's a deal breaker, the Perlick 650ss does stop flow entirely.

    New Mangrove Jack's strains?

Just bottled my witbier (M21) yesterday. OG 1.045, FG 1.012. Despite being flat, it tasted really nice. Next up is a Belgian single using the Tripel yeast (M31), and a smoked porter using US West Coast (M44).

    Home-smoked malt finishing question

Hello! I just had first malt smoking session yesterday. I sprayed the malt with distilled water a few times during the smoke to give the smoke something to stick to, then dried the malt in a 200° oven for an hour, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure evenness. Many of the DIY smoking...

    Hardywood Park Gingerbread Stout help.

Sadly, I've kinda abandoned this one. I don't experiment with big beers because they end up taking up space for far too long. I might have to give this another go next year, but I have other projects going right now.

Still making bad beer after 30+ batches.

I'm concerned about the "gray residue." Since your keggle should be stainless steel, I'm assuming the film isn't coming from the metal. Could it be a significant buildup of beer stone? Could that be throwing off the flavor? Bring a 50:50 mix of vinegar and water, let's say about a gallon...

Still making bad beer after 30+ batches.

You really don't need secondary. I've seen a lot of people package their brews after two weeks. I leave most of mine in primary for three weeks before packaging. If I'm brewing a lager, I lager in the keg while it carbonates. Assuming you don't have any leaks that would allow oxygen into...

    New Mangrove Jack's strains?

Finally brewed my wit with M21 yesterday. Bubbling along happily. Next brew will be a Belgian single with the Tripel strain, and an ordinary bitter with Liberty Bell. Slowly working my way through the lineup!

Czech Dark Lager Accidentally In Prague

It's at the top of the post, so I'll assume you're using the mobile app. They really need to figure out how to make the details viewable from the app. 1.050, 1.014, 18 SRM, and 28 IBU It's an awesome beer, and I just kicked the keg. Time to rebrew! :mug:

Do you need a 1 off Stainless part built for your system? Let's discuss it.

I'd be interested in a stainless tank post spacer for older (usually racetrack) kegs. The nylon ones are cheap enough, but I'd prefer a permanent stainless option.
