    I'm a little confused with this also. Do you do a standard size. Then cold crash, wash and repitch into larger starter?

    What's the rule of thumb for repitching? Do you pitch onto a higher gravity wort ? Or lower? I just saved and washed my yeast for the first time today. Wyeast 1007. Original gravity was 1.150. Don't intend on another high grav beer in a while. How long will it keep in fridge?

    Cheers guys. What sort of hop schedule do u think for hersbrucker and fuggles? Also I have hazelnuts, was considering crushing about 300g and adding to grain at the beginning. Anyone tried this? Or should I get some hazelnut extract instead?
