I was *this* close to moving to Alabama, so I totally feel for you guys and gals who are still fighting to get homebrewing legalized. Here's hoping times change sooner rather than later. This kind of backwards nonsense has no place in 2012.

My lady is neutral. I don't think she likes it or hates it. I feel the same, honestly. I don't think it's a particularly inviting smell, but it still makes my mouth water with anticipation.

Brett, that was my whole thought process, tbh. I hate the idea of having to wait so much between brews and having to fiddle with temps so often. Guess I'm gonna bite the bullet and get a fridge and two temp. controllers.

Figured I'd get some advice here before I did any real work. I recently acquired a chest freezer that I had planned on using for a keezer build. But it just occurred to me that I might be better off using said freezer for lagering/storage/etc. and buying a small fridge to make a kegerator...

Cool, I'll give it a look. I figured since I bought these from kegconnection I wouldn't have a problem with something being damaged. I guess things can slip through the cracks, though.

Yep. Post base. Right where the base meets the keg. Seemed like the post was too short or something, but it was the same size as the posts on my other keg. Its strange how it suddenly sealed after trying for 45 minutes of trying the same thing over and over.

I think Revvy has the best idea. I've also heard of people soaking spices in a neutral spirit before adding it to the bottling bucket. You should be fine either way.
