    Really? 40 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit = 4.5 - 10 degrees Celsius Seems low, or have i worked it out wrong? lols.     Adding the finishing sugar hot

    I put a cup of sugar then added water to melt it. Then added it straight to the wine brew. after transferring it to secondary and within two hours fermentation restarted.

    I that start before you add yeast. Then at the end to clarify fermentation has finished. (final gravity around or below 1.000) If it is a little high at the end leave it a couple of days do another test, If it is the same number then fermentation has stopped. If it is low but still not low...

    Its started with joes mix just added pears :) One orange, Three pears, Clovers and fives spice. And honey (340g) At that point i boiled it, then i tried it and it taste like lem sip cough stuff, so i added one litre of orange juice. then topped up to the gallon with water. :)

    Just made mead. As couldnt tell what the hydrometer was saying. Wel after a couple of chaps helped me sort this. I've worked out my reading is only 1042. whats really low for a mead/wine. so should i put more honey in? Its already has yeast in it. Yet, its not start fermenting. Thanks.

    Just put some random fruits together :) Strawberries (box of .. 300g?) of market so unsure of weight. Two banana's 3 apples. 700ish grams of sugars. basically i just added all the things i liked :) To see what it would come out like. Is it actually classed as a wine as all recipes...

    Im estimating around 1080 as i've added 600ish grams of sugar lols. Plus the fruit to one gallon. Ive already added the yeast so it was more of a question of what should i of done. :P Hehe
