Beer from my keg is flat

Well it’s not quite the same but I do have one of these (apparently this is what happens when you forget the priming sugar in your wit and mistakingly double up by putting it in the by brown). I can’t even blame being new on this one

Beer from my keg is flat

Just figured I would send you all a shout out. My kegging got a lot easier with your help. Turns out I was (mostly) doing things right, with your help I improved it, and that darn mini keg had a piece of metal under the o-ring and I had a bad gasket. Thanks again for the help!

Can/should you adjust the gravity after fermentation?

You think Windsor yeast will drop much more than a couple points? If it was other yeasts, I wouldn't even bother suggesting it (I've at least learned that much), but everything I have read says not to expect big changes with windsor after 36 hours. This round is too hoppy and so its actually...

Can/should you adjust the gravity after fermentation?

Sometimes the most obvious answer is not the obvious answer. Lol i guess I can just make myself a beer cocktail half and half. Thanks for the suggestion!

Can/should you adjust the gravity after fermentation?

Yes, I am definitely learning this. I am not sure tinkering has worked yet. Maybe I just needed someone to tell me that. Repeatedly. Again....

Can/should you adjust the gravity after fermentation?

This particular recipe was my attempt at recreating a Canadian beer a really miss. They mention what they use on their website (Canadian companies have to tell you all ingredients) but not in proportions. From what I remember, I think it is pretty close. A friend came down recently and tried it...

    Boosting Windsor Dry Yeast Attenuation

I know this is a post from a few years ago and you may not remember what happened, but I am curious the outcome of your beer and what you ultimately decided to do. I am in a pickle with a porter/stout hybrid where windsor hit 46% attenuation after 36 hours, which in my experience, not much...

Can/should you adjust the gravity after fermentation?

I have this hI was thinking about brewing more as a. Option too. I just find drinking a beer that is too sweet or too thin mediocre. I am new, so there are probably plenty of ways to improve my beer. I am trying to tackle it slowly so I can isolate my mistakes. I am guessing this one was...

Can/should you adjust the gravity after fermentation?

How do you avoid/ deal with that if you overshoot OG and it ends up too sweet?

Can/should you adjust the gravity after fermentation?

I have a couple batches that aren't perfect as the gravity is either too high or too low. I don't particularly want to drink mediocre beer and so I am playing with ideas to experiment. However I would rather drink mediocre beer than toss either batch. I haven't brewed long enough to know all the...

Best grain bill for a authentic Kolsch

I never would have thought there would be such a difference within the same category (is that the right word?). I figured within Vienna, or pilsner, or pale malt, etc. etc. it wouldn't be too different. I can understand a quality thing, but if everything is fresh, I would have thought it would...

    Juniper

I did a Norwegian "farmhouse ale" as a solstace beer last year and used juniper in the secondary. I quite enjoyed it. There were several recipes online that I combined to cater to my tastes, but it was basically a pale ale, with kviek yeast, very light on the hops, and then the juniper berry for...

Best grain bill for a authentic Kolsch

I'll take a look for that the next time I order something online. I'm 99% certain that is not what the LHB has as it doesn't ring a bell at all

Best grain bill for a authentic Kolsch

I want to say Briess but I am actually not 100% sure on this. I can report back after my next trip to the LHB if I remember to look. I did a smash with pilser and two row when I first started brewing all-grain recipes and I found it to lack a depth and highlighted a more "grassy" flavour ( I...

Best grain bill for a authentic Kolsch

Here is my kolsch so far. The two 3 gallons are 2-row on the left and Pilsner on the right (the colour difference is accurate and not just background). The pic with a single carboy is a 5 gallon is that has a mix of the two (I remashed all the grain, through in a bit of fresh Pilsnermalt, and...

How long to wait out fermentation to avoid gravity readings

That’s a good idea. I hate messing with beer

How long to wait out fermentation to avoid gravity readings

Good idea. Though I use the hydrometer away the tail end of the boil
