Grounded Brewing Technologies - 240V eBIAB System

GBT will be hitting the market and taking pre-orders within the next 4 weeks on their turnkey 240v 30a eBIAB Setup. The kettle teaser they posted on IG looks absolutely killer: https://www.instagram.com/p/BkbuFQllKbr/ After emailing back and forth, here's what they are bringing to the table...

Is SS Brewtech introducing an eBIAB system?

Got more details today on the GBT Setup. Will Start a new thread on it so we don't threadjack this one seeing as it specifically pertains to SSbt

Is SS Brewtech introducing an eBIAB system?

Been Emailing Rex back and forth for a week about the 30a Panel I'm going to order and had no idea they were going to be offering a complete turnkey setup. Was just going to order the Clawhammer, but depending on the pricepoint, 90% sold on holding out for this as it looks like a sweet setup. I...

    Clawhammer v2.0 Electric BIAB

For $649.00, I'm Strongly considering backing this... but have been patiently waiting for their 240v system. Plus with SS Brewtech set to release their line of EBrew systems in the next few months, I'd hate to pull the trigger before seeing what SS Brewtech has to offer. First world problems....

    Clawhammer Supply eBIAB Review

Great review. Thanks for the insight. I'm Still on the fence with purchasing the CH system. According to Emmet, the 240V setup is still a few months away. I was strongly considering buying the kit minus the panel and purchasing EBS's 30a 240 panel with 5500w element... But that's easily...

Is SS Brewtech introducing an eBIAB system?

So I've been waiting patiently for months on Clawhammer's release of their 240v eBIAB setup. Recently, they now are offering their kit minus the controller, which I was going to purchase the Electric Brewing Supply 30a 240v BIAB panel... About a total cost of $1,350.00. I'm so glad I waited...

    Clawhammer Supply BIAB

Thanks for the heads up and congrats on the new system. My biggest questions would be on timing. More specifically: 1) How long to heat from ground to strike, 2) how long to heat from strike to boil 3) And Overall time for a complete brew day from start to cleanup 4) Does the 1650w Element...

    Clawhammer Supply BIAB

What was your average heat up time from room temp to mash? Then from Mash to boil? Even with the insulation wrap and covered boil, were you able to achieve a nice rolling boil? They make it sound like the element produces a weak boil.

    Clawhammer Supply BIAB

Still no update on the Clawhammer 240v System. I'll probably email Emmet again in a few weeks to see if they are any closer to the final prototype. I have already budgeted about $1,150.00 to purchase the 240V setup, and hopefully it comes in right around that range. Looks like CH added some...

Testing of my 240V 30A BIAB eBrew Setup

Awesome Setup. Very interested in a similar type system, but was leaning towards a stainless mash basket In lieu of Nylon. Any idea on total Build Cost?

    Clawhammer Supply BIAB

Couldn't agree more on the ease of individual component maintenance & replacements compared to the Grainfather all in one single vessel. As for pricing on the 240v system, On my last email correspondence with them, I asked on that exact same question. They were very coy about it and simply...

    Clawhammer Supply BIAB

After 3 years of extract brewing, I'm finally going to be making the jump to AG, and have been researching Turnkey Electric BIAB systems for quite some time. Currently, I'm 90% sold on the Clawhammer system. My only holdup on it is the 120V element. I'm fortunate enough to have 220/240v access...

The Catalyst - Dry Hopping, Yeast Starters, & Catching Yeast

I'm now on my second batch using the catalyst and absolutely love it. Currently 1 week into a slow, Long primary of a Pliny clone (Extract). The kit recommended to use a starter, but I've never done one before, and pitched the US-05 right after cool / topoff. For future batches, I'd like to...

    Fermenting in my fast fermenter

Just finished a Grapefruit IPA using my Catalyst for the first time. I found I had to trub dump at least three times... 1 week after Primary, 1 week into secondary (at dry hopping), and a final dump before kegging. Also found that the 16 oz. mason jar included isn't even close to enough. Used a...

    Inconsistent Gravities = Low ABV

Thanks for the awesome feedback Jordan! Much appreciated. To help alleviate this problem and receive a more concise OG reading, what do you recommend I do? Paddle in the extra 2 gal water top off? Add the 2 Gal. first and rack the finished wort on top of it? I'm not planning on jumping to AG...

    Inconsistent Gravities = Low ABV

Been brewing for about a year now. On my 4th batch... a grapefruit infused IPA extract kit from my LHBS. Estimated OG was supposed to be 1.065 with a FG of 1.014. My actuals were: OG 1.050 and FG of 1.012. Based on the estimated OG/FG my ABV should've ended up around 6.7%. When in all actuality...
