    You'll have more worries than oxidation of your beer if you break those carboys. They can be dangerous if they are glass.

    Congrats. I thought about it myself, but considered it a waste of time when I probably would be the only one in the Province and with no competitions to attend, wouldn't be able to complete the process to become a full fledged judge.

    How much yeast slurry did you actually pitch and did you areate well? It sounds like not enough healthy yeast. Also what temp did you mash at? A full accounting of your procedure would enable us to help you better.
