    Hulk Hogan Beer

    So...he was vegan?

where to source full sacks of grain?

To add to the last two replies, joining a brew club will help. Many have good relationships with local breweries and will do group buys with a particular brewery.

    Hulk Hogan Beer

Nope, I've not tried it. To be honest, this is the first I've heard of it. Yellow bikini bottoms? Hmmmm....must be for his pale lagers. I'd avoid his dark lagers................

How long do you ferment after reaching a stable FG

About 3 weeks for me. If I'm in a rush, two weeks. Once FG is met, aren't the yeast still "cleaning up"? That's one reason why I do three weeks.

    Glueing plywood to refrigerator rear?

Or those US General magnets instead of the tape/velcro...... Adding to your pedestal idea, which I like, make it to where there is a back that you can use a chain or some sort of strapping to steady the cylinder to the pedestal. Screw the magnets to the back of the pedestal and stick it the the...

    Glueing plywood to refrigerator rear?

What about those beefy US General magnets from Harbor Freight along with those brackets? They're rated 25lbs each. A full 15lb co2 tanks is about 30lbs. You could remove the hooks of the magnets and just screw the plywood directly to it. Screw the top of the plywood to the brackets MaxStout...

Hop basket spider whatever. Never again!

Retirement sounds better than bankruptcy. My cousin uses the 2.0 and swears by it.

Hop basket spider whatever. Never again!

Great job! I thought it was a Hopstopper 2.0 when I first looked at it. The guy that makes those went out of business I think. He's just an hour away from me, in Knoxville. I go commando on all my hopping, except dry hopping. I use a bag for those. I still have my Stainless Brewing hop spider...

What BIAB brewing actually is (Mythbusting for traditionalists)

Funny you mention that. I had to run a few errands today, during brew day, so I decided to do those after mashout. I let the bag drain into a second kettle while I was gone and figured I'd start the boil when I got back. I was surprised at the amount of wort I got vs squeezing the bag in the...

Chest freezer died. Would like something front load

If I used mine as much as you use yours, I'd 100% agree. Been doing a lot of half batch sessions lately. Today was another one, making it 4 in a row.

I squeeze mine like it owes me money. Every ounce counts.........

Chest freezer died. Would like something front load

On another note, this might be a nice add on if one was outfitting their brewery/bar area. It looks to be the same size as the stand alone freezer, but it's a top freezer/refrigerator model. If I was looking for a new kegerator, I'd probably buy both. The freezer would be great for storing hops...

Chest freezer died. Would like something front load

I took measurements of my Spike CF-10 and I'm doubting it will fit. It may be too wide. My 15 gallon corny keg on the other hand, should fit. Flex+ and Fermzilla All Rounder, ??. Maybe I should sell my CF-10 and use the funds to get that 7cu ft freezer?

Chest freezer died. Would like something front load

Maybe you can move the glass shelf drawer closer to the top, or build a more robust shelf on the level above it. Looks like a good storage place for brewery items.

Chest freezer died. Would like something front load

Looks like it might be wide enough for my Fermzilla All Rounder, maybe even tall enough for my Spike CF-10 conical. 🤔

    Digital Scale Recommendation?

I've done that. If the grain addition is less than 2lbs, I'll use the same scale that I use for hops.

    New fermenter

You can save that $5.98 and put that towards the spigot. Instead of Home Depot, go to a bakery or the bakery dept of your grocery store. The icing buckets they use are throw aways. You can't beat free. The nicer bakers may even rinse the bucket/lids for you too. ;) I've used both. You're good...

    Digital Scale Recommendation?

I usually round up or down to the nearest 1/2g with salts. I doubt that even matters, but I do it anyways. I agree about the difference between precision and accuracy, but I really don't think a difference of a hundredths of a gram is going to matter in 5 gallons of beer.
