Brew Rig - HP Moore Brewing Co

I really like your Tel-Tru setup. I'd like to run something similar between my HERMS kettles so I can measure the temp going in and out of the coil. Could you tell me what model/version of the Tel-Tru you're running, as well as the 4-way adapter its fitting into?

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

I like your sink.. Am thinking about adding one to my brew house (garage). Aside from being able to get suds on things and rinse, are you able to get a little gunk in it as well, or is it purely for 100% liquid for the drain?

    Homemade PBW Recipe

Thanks for the heads up piojo. I'm far from a chemist, my ultimate goal is to find the strongest (most effective) manner in cleaning the gunk off all my brewing (and some other) equipment while at the same time causing no damage. The glass carboys are amongst some of the cheaper items I have...

    Homemade PBW Recipe

Not sure if this is what I'm asking, or a valid correction. I'm not asking about sodium silicate, I'm asking about red devil tsp (the product) as mentioned several times in this thread. I'm not worried about bottles, as my original question was inquiring about glass carboys. To reiterate my...

12 Beers of Christmas 2018 Edition

I love this idea. Is this generally a one time a year event with only ~12 people? Would be awesome to do this for all seasons throughout the year with a larger group of participants...

    Homemade PBW Recipe

Amazon/Video claims not to use red devil tsp on glass. Does this change because it is being diluted, or should it not be used in conjunction with the other two ingredients in glass carboys regardless?

Curious why he needs 12 regulators for 6 taps..

Is that 33'F serving temp!? That's a cold beer :)

Could you elaborate on how you connected individual gauges for each line, and what make/model you're using?

Contemplating Chest Freezer Usage for Fermentation/Cold Crashing - Safety/Weight Concerns

Well half the fun in my experience is building and upgrading setups, so now that this thread has essentially turned me on to a pulley system I think I need to get into the planning phase!

Contemplating Chest Freezer Usage for Fermentation/Cold Crashing - Safety/Weight Concerns

Would moving/raising the fermenter after cold crashing but prior to transferring/packaging create settled yeast/sediment to start to get unsettled and move around the vessel?

Contemplating Chest Freezer Usage for Fermentation/Cold Crashing - Safety/Weight Concerns

Hmm, using a pulley system isn't a bad idea. However it would require quite a bit of altering my current setup, including getting harnesses to fit the carboys in addition to adding the entire pulley system. I'm also a little hesitant to trust/want to have large quantities of liquid and glass...

Contemplating Chest Freezer Usage for Fermentation/Cold Crashing - Safety/Weight Concerns

I have a chest freezer that can fit two 6 gallon glass carboys that I thought would be wonderful for keeping fermentation and cold crashing temperatures with a temp control device. My issue is the constant lowering and lifting of full vessels, and I'm looking for recommendations. I'd like to...

Electric motor + Mill - Need Assistance w/ Pulley System

Question regarding the gear reducer.. Without knowing which direction my motor spins, I don't know which direction the output shaft is spinning (clockwise vs counter clock wise). If I end up with the shaft spinning in the wrong direction, would I simply be able to flip the milling piece upside...

    HERMS: Hardware & Connection Questions

After watching 10 different videos that had hardware that didn't equate to mine, I finally found this one. Shows exactly the same hardware I have and helped me understand what I needed to do! Time for water testing this weekend

    HERMS: Hardware & Connection Questions

I just don't want to damage anything.. So I believe I understand that the larger one goes in second, and the smaller end is facing away from the HERMS coil, or toward the kettle wall. For the small one, in my photo the more lip'd end is facing up, and I think it's that side that goes into the...

Electric motor + Mill - Need Assistance w/ Pulley System

Hmm, that seems like a simpler, and longer lasting alternative to belt.. Since I already have a motor with the right starting RPM I think buying the gear reducer would just leave me with having to find the right connections...

    HERMS: Hardware & Connection Questions

I'm not entirely sure how the small pieces fit in the Compression Bulkhead Connector, can someone with a better understanding clarify? Also, there is only one washer, is the setup in my other photo accurate for how it should go on once I connect the coil on the inside using the hardware? Thanks,
