Is there a way to remove a hop bong without exposing wort to air?

Just buy a second set of the lower parts. I built my own hop bong with the upper plastic from MoreBeer, but got the valve, reducer, and clamps from Amazon.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

lol. Thats ok. Honestly I’m not set on any combo. I just picked those two as a starting point having had them in local brews. I’ve only brewed a couple hazies before and none with most of these. Just starting the dive into this. I got a couple pounds of each of the NZ hops when Yakima had them...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I'm going to be trying to start dialing in my hazy this weekend. Was planning to use Motueka and Riwaka after taking advantage of the YVH sale and seeing how much people love the combo. Trying to pick a third hop to add. Currently in my inventory that might go well I have: Citra Cascade pellet...

    Are pull tabs comming back?

Super Bock!! They have pull tabs like this on tiny bottles. It’s the most popular beer in Portugal. It’s a better than average BMC type beer. My liquor store carries them and I buy them sometimes just for the memory of my trip there. Just had one last night.

Help Converting Hazy IPA to Hazy Pale Ale?

Hi. Could use some help with this conversion. I won’t bore you with why I want to convert this but it’s important to me. I don’t want to post the recipe I’m starting with cause it’s a member exclusive. I know that makes it hard to help but hoping for a little. It’s fairly standard 2 row...

    Double IPA Epic Day Clone

A couple years ago I owed a friend with a kegerator, who doesn't brew, a favor. He requested Eddyline Epic Day. I love Eddyline as well and it's located near one of my favorite weekend getaway spots so I was very excited. Nobody online had a clone so I tried on myself. My first try wasn't even...

American Wheat Beer Machinist American Wheat

Just wanted to report back that this beer was delicious. Definitely going in my summer rotation. Very happy I harvested the Kaiser cause it was perfect for this. Dry hopped in the keg and and the flavor and aroma was perfect to make this more than a wheat beer. Nice job @rtstrider!!

    Sparging when biab?

I second not using hot tap water. I know it’s convenient, but on top of the safety based on chemicals and metals mentioned above it also throws of your water chemistry. Water from your hot water tank potentially has a different chemistry than your cold water.
