    Any Mexican lager suggestions?

I'll have to give that a try. Thanks for posting it!

    Any Mexican lager suggestions?

I brewed another "Mexi-lager" over the weekend after being happy with the last two I did. I thought I had some Vienna left to do another Atlantico beer (NB's Pacifico clone) as I really like that kit. I had to sub some 2row instead. My grain bill was: Pilsen - 57.4% 2 row - 24.6% Munich - 9.7%...

    When to add wort chiller

I use an immersion chiller. In the past I added mine about 10-15 minutes before the end of the boil. The thing I hated about doing it that way is it dropped the boiling temps a bit, then I'd have to get it back up to a boil, only to shut the gas off. The last two batches, I added the chiller at...

six point brewery - the piff

Some more detail from OP would've been helpful. Lots of different colored pens out there. Blue? Black? Red? Is it a Bic, or PaperMate? And batteries.......Energizer or Duracell? Even Eveready batteries can have an impact on taste, depending on the type of hop and the crop year used by the brewery.

six point brewery - the piff

I'll admit, All Day is hit or miss. Sometimes, the aroma isn't there and other times it punches me in my face when I crack open a can.

six point brewery - the piff

Another vote for Bell's Two Hearted. Though it's more pale ale than IPA, Founder's All Day IPA is my usual go to.

That looks like the Citra pilsner I brewed a month ago. Foam for days.

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

Brew Dudes did a comparison of W34/70, S-23, and S-189 recently.

    Mexican Lager at Room Temp

You should do a split batch of 34/70 to see if there is a difference. From what I can tell, I've been happy with 34/70 pressure fermented or at room temps (mid 60s). It's a very forgiving yeast.

    Mexican Lager at Room Temp

Thought I'd give an update. I had forgotten about this thread, so my apologies. This beer has been kegged for about a week or two (after sitting in the fermonster for so long), and needless to say I'm fairly happy with the results. Here's a comparison of the two. Now, before you all start...

    Spike CF10 fermenter lid gasket

Can't blame you. If you follow their instructions to a T and something gets bent as a result, then they should replace the damaged part, imo.

    Spike CF10 fermenter lid gasket

Man, that's going to bug me. I know I read/saw that somewhere, but I can't remember where. Eh, regardless, I'll back off on that gap going forward. I'd rather be safe than sorry. Thanks for posting this. EDIT: I found it. Scroll to step 4 in the link below. How Do I Stop My Conical From...

    Spike CF10 fermenter lid gasket

You can also order the gasket from @Bobby_M at Brewhardware.com. I recently got mine, for my Flex+, from him and it is the new style. I have used the old style in my Flex+ in the last two batches with success. Lay the flat side of your old gasket in the lid, pointy side to the conical base...
