If you are just sterilizing the liquid, only need a light hop addition, and want the beer to turn out very pale( low in color. Why not just boil for 15 to 30 min? Just asking....

Went down to check on brew. Found one of my air locks on the floor with its stopper. Cleaned, sanitized and replaced. After airlock was put in place it almost immediately started bubbling. So I'm hoping that the batch should be fine because of the little positive pressure. Thoughts?

Ok so back to the question...Why Rubbermaid than Igloo...cost?

Read some good things about braid, and its cheaper..But was thinking false bottom.

So why is it everyone (vendors) show the Rubbermaid orange water cooler. Is it really the better or can they just get it cheaper. I am just making my first mash tun, for my switch to all grain, but I think Igloo keeps water cooler longer, I do realize we want the water hot. So whats your vote...
