    You're beer is still too young to make any type of determination of what the final flavor is going to be. Leave it in that bucket for another three weeks and let the yeast do their thing.     Bacteria can't crawl up the side of your bucket and jump into your wort. AS long as it was covered to block anything falling into it, you'll be fine.

    At least you waited four hours before you panicked and decided your beer was ruined. haha just giving you a hard time. If your beer hasn't started fermenting in 3-4 days (72-96 hours), come back and ask the same question.

    I think you're confused on what priming sugar is used for. If you're going to bottle your beer, you add the priming sugar to your bottling bucket and rack your your fermented beer on top of it.     If you left the pot partially uncovered you should be ok. I think it's almost impossible to have the pot covered during the entire boil without having constant boilovers.

    Describe your brewing process if you can. Sounds like you're doing extract brewing. Generally, RO or distilled water is best when brewing from kits.
