    Just kegged my first beer

I talked to the folks at Midwest brewing and they said at room temp to crank it up to around 40 psi (way up from my original 21 psi and to keep it there which means when the pressure drops to put more co2 on it to get back up to 40.. He said at room temp and 40 psi it should take 3-4 days to...

    Just kegged my first beer

I just kegged my first beer and i pressurized it to 21 psi because I am carbonating it at room temp. Anyway, it seems my pressure has dropped to 18 psi and there doesn't seem to be any leaks in the keg. Is this normal? If so, do I add more co2 to try get it back up to 21 psi?

    Kegging question

M about to keg an Irish car bomb stout and I was wondering if I could put lactose in the beer and it would still give me that milky texture that the lactose provides even though I'm kegging and not bottling.

    Made my first chocolate stout

I let it ferment two weeks in primary and two weeks in secondary.. I did however skip the step of measuring the fg so this could have been my mistake

    Made my first chocolate stout

Few months ago I made my first chocolate stout via a recipe on HBT and everything seemed fine except when I bottled them, a few exploded. I had two explode in the box they were conditioning in and one explode in a 6 pack carrying case in the floorboard of my car, between my legs (that was...

Not enough carbonation in my beer

Am pretty new to home brewing and have run into the problem of not having much carbonation in my beer. It tastes Good, but a tad flat; and the head in the beer is basically non-existent. One of the batches I made was from a kit, the other two were recipes I found on home brew talk. I used an 8oz...

    Bottle caps

Any one know of a good place to get different bottle caps? I have seen several websites that have the different colored, American flag, and also plain generic black caps. I was wanting something like sports team caps (e.g Tennessee volunteers for tailgating during football season) or just...
