    bottling from a growler.

....long term? I'm thinking more than a week here. We're a big fan of build-a-sixers, so variety is key - and a couple of these could last maybe around a month...?

    bottling from a growler.

Long story short... local brew-pub has a pomegranate beer that the fiance loves ( and ill admit, is good) and since they only have it for a short time - can you bottle it from a growler to preserve some longevity ( standard 2-3months or so ) instead of ~ week from the growler, or would it be...

instead of using table sugar with Mr. Beer as instructed, can I use corn sugar without any adjustments. Would it be better? or just follow the instructions...?

    apfelwein - when to bottle?

I started fermenting it on 10/23 - think I should bottle it soon? It's pretty clear, and barely bubbling. Not enough to hit the airlock, just slight bubbles in the 5gal jug.

    apfelwein - when to bottle?

You mean too late? then I can just let it condition, right? :) Thats what I was afraid of - bottle bombs... lol. I've read a couple fun stories on those...

    apfelwein - when to bottle?

I only have a primary, nothing else :) I'm doing this the budget way. From what I was reading, I can still keep it in the primary for a couple months then bottle? literally, I have a primary and a bunch of used / cleaned bottles. I'll get caps & a capper once this is good to go... budget...

    apfelwein - when to bottle?

I'm fermenting some apfelwein right now. I only have a carboy and airlock - i dont have the meter for gravity. The airlock has just about stopped bubbling, but i still see bubbles coming up in the carboy. I know I can let it sit for quite a while - i was planning on a week or two more...

    Keg for $10I bought a

it's a hoff-stevens. They used to stick a big rod in the bung hole to fill those up. Then they'd use a mallet, called the bung-wacker to knock a wooden bung into the bung-hole. The liquid would help the wood swell & seal it. My local micro-brewery just stopped using those a few years...

Word of warning : Don't Leave Full CO2 Tanks in Hot Car!

I get nitrogen tanks for stock car racing at AIRGAS - They wont even let me pick them up in anything other than my truck. They even had a fit that I had a tonneau on the truck in the summer - and as someone else posted, I had to load them in my truck myself... this is the big tall tanks. I...

Spare me, I'm new.. lol I'm only discouraged I cant make the specific beer I wanted - that one sounds delish, and similar to one I tried at a beer fest over the weekend...

first timer - buying kit soon...

I am... Anything I can buy off Amazon, I don't pay for. Work does. That's why I would rather buy off Amazon for as much as I can... I only pay a couple dollars in regards to taxable income/rewards.
