So my friend passed away and his wife gave me some of his brewing stuff and 2 bags of grain. 50lbs of pilsner malt and 40 of 6 row. I don’t brew or drink many pilsners and have only used 6 row to assist with enzymes when my base is all munich, I have also heard of it being used for the hard stuff.

Old school 6 1/2 gallon glass fermenter, rubber stopper and p-trap style air lock

Ok, I have been making my Oktoberfest for many years and a question just came to me. After my Diacetyl rest when I put the fermenter back in the fridge to cool it back down how do I prevent it from sucking air back thru the airlock due to the drop in temp leading to lower pressure in the fermenter?
