interesting...
ok, thanks.
It's already in the keezer at 40 degrees for a week now. Maybe i will just wait it out.
I just started carbing a lower alcohol brew yesterday, I have a feeling it will be ready much faster then the bigger brew. I can drink on that first when it's ready in two...
I have had a 9% double IPA slow carbing in the keezer for about a week. I tested it and it is very green. I am sure that it will be fully carbed in another week because the carbonation is close. It has a great head on it, and it bubbles up pretty well already, but it really needs more time to...
I was just transfering my primary to secondary in the kitchen.
My wife has a few hot pads as ART on the wall above my sink counter, you know the kind you place a hot pan on after cooking? these are some artsy fartsy ones she was given as a gift.
Anyhow, one JUST FELL off it's hook as I was...
ahhh... crap. Never mind. Just found a leak. This time from the release valve on top of the keg. I didn't notice the bubbles at first because i was so focused on the regulator and valves that attatched to the keg. So for almost a day i have been leaking c02 on a freshly carbed beer mostly full...
Dang, I sure have had lots of difficulties dealing with my first month of Kegging. Not with the Kegs mind you, but with the co2 and the regulators.
Lost all my gas in one week from a leak on the first try, then after refilling this last weekend, Just one week later It is reading under 400 again...
So crazy you just wrote that buzzcraft..
I just got off the phone with Lowes in Seattle and bought one of that exact clearance models over the phone.
How many kegs you think i may be able to get in the 6.8 cf ??
Meanwhile, Sears is pretty cool as well, they are sending out a person to...
The crazy part is that the freezer hump is exactly half the space, so my co2 tank just clears when i shut the lid while on the hump.
I think the Lowes Holiday freezer is the one i want!
That is IF they still have it! They might not make that model any longer.
SO the kegging process is going along very well. Or so I thought!
I wanted to keep it simple and small... a 5 cubic foot Kenmore Sears Freezer to keep two cornelius kegs and a co2 tank. No problem... first keg is three weeks in, good beer all is going good. THEN i get my second corney and...
THanks for the advice. This is only my 4th batch.
THis is an extract Arrogent Bastard clone. I chilled the wort in an ice bath in a large sink, so it is really difficult to get it below 70 that fast. I guess i need a wort chiller if i want to do this correctly.
Meanwhile It is cooling off...
So i pitched a high gravity ale yesterday 1.080 with two packs of Wyeast 1056 american ale at 78F ...
I left it in my basement overnight thinking temps would fall, but we had an unusually hot day in Seattle today and the temps are still at 76F on my primary after the first 24 hours.
I...
Hey everyone,
last week i was trying to figure out my loss of CO2 with my first kegged system. I had only had the gas on for two weeks before running out. I finally figured it out... and for you noob's like myself, it is such a simple mistake that I think most anyone could make.
When i...
Yeah... I think I need to start looking for leaks because yes it seems to be slowly dropping each day.
So If i put star san in a water solution and spray bottle, will that work?
Or should it be regular soapy water?
Dang... my levels lowered to 400 tonight. I had a bunch of friends over drinking my beer and it seems to be going slightly lower and lower the more I pour.
So I think i may be running out of CO2 really early.
Honestly I may have really messed up this CO2 kit at first, because when i bought...
