I live in Bellevue Nebraska and we recently had a low grade tornado roll through. "Low grade" having winds around 120mph. My hop trellis and the neighbors tree didn't make it through the storm.

NorCal brewing has canning jar compatible lids that you could fit Tri-clover clamps onto. I thought about using this with a ball valve to harvest yeast on a Sanke keg. In your case you could create a starter, hook it up and pull the valve that would then mix the yeast into the fermenter.

^That is what I am thinking. I don't have the second packet yet. I used the calculator from earlier in the thread(same thing) and my results were 55 billion viable cells. the date was March 4th or around that. So, according to that I will need a starter, OR two packets of the same date or newer...

How did your batch turn out? I recently purchased the La Petite Orange, Belgian dubbel from Northern Brewer (I think you're brewing the same beer!?). My Wyeast 1214 Belgian abbey hardly rose at all? I called northern brewer and they sent another smack pack.
