Not sure I have the room to freeze concrete the juice. Think I will try to run a small pressing this weekend, maybe make a batch I also like dry cider so I am going to try it in the primary.
Boiled cider is just apple just that has been reduced, usually about 8 to 1. I am thinking of adding boiled cider to apple juice and trying to ferment them together to raise the sugar content of my juice. Has anyone done this. FYI I own an apple orchard and i have plenty of juice to experiment...
407.5+100.= 507.5 I have made at least a 100 gallons this year. I own a small apple orchard, and have to do something will all my apples;) . I still have a lot of unpressed apples, I hope to make at least another 100 gallons.
That is a little light, but not bad. I average about 1 gallon for 15 pounds of apples. I do not core them, i just grind them with an apple scatter. I do use a Lancman water press, and OEACO grinder.
