    Phosphoric Acid Question

I ended up changing the numbers all together and it came out to 16ml. I went with a hazy water profile as it fit the beer better. Thanks for your input!

    Phosphoric Acid Question

I figured the low strength was the issue. I was also concerned that there might be off flavors due to what ever else was in the solution, but considering it is water, I'm good now. Thanks for you reply!

    Phosphoric Acid Question

I've never used any acid to drop the PH of my mash before. Considering the water adjustments for this new batch I'm brewing(APA), I have to. The homebrew supply by place only had phosphoric acid in stock(Lactic was my first choice). Its only 10% which isnt much, but, brunwater is calling for...

Help with my RIMS/Bool controller diagram.

Hey guys. I’m designing a controller for my RIMS tube and boil kettle. I was wondering if somebody with wiring experience can look over my diagram and see if you see any problems. I’m planning on using the Auber EZ Boil as the controller which has boil and step mashing modes. Boil mode has a...

    Questions on water profile...

I’m using BeerSmith and must be doing something wrong because even after adding the salts to the ingredients list, it was projected to be 5.6. Brunwater projected it to be 5.36. The measured PH was 5.3. I completed brew day last night and was pleased with the outcome. I hit all my number except...

    Questions on water profile...

Hey guys! It's brew day for me and I was wondering if somebody could talk a look at my numbers on this batch and let me know if I have my water profile in the right area for an amber balanced profile? I will be starting with distilled water and adding the salts and sulfate needed to achieve the...

    Cooling Tower Build

Sweet! So you ended up using the different speeds. Super cool. Does it still spit water out using the low speed?

    Cooling Tower Build

I don’t think faster would fix his issues of water coming out the top. It definitely needs to be slowed down. As far as 2 speed blower motors, I haven’t seen one in a long time for a furnace if that is where it is from. The fan setting for AC uses the high speed(Black like stated) and the...

    Cooling Tower Build

From the looks of it that is a three speed motor. You obviously hook your white wire from supply power to the neutral on the motor, then you will hook your black from the supply power to either one of those taps to select the speed. Black is typically high-speed. If it is not label on the motor...

    Cooling Tower Build

That fan should have a low speed. Make sure you wire your hot to that tap and it should slow down substantially. I’m an HVAC contractor and can help you with the wiring if you haven’t figured the taps out yet.

    WLP008 Fermentation question

I’ve read others questions on the yeast, but, the answers I read were dated a couple years ago. Wondering if any new info has surfaced. I’m doing an Session APA with an OG of 1.032. I pitched last Saturday night at about 11pm. The fermentation took off full steam about 24-36 hours into ferm and...
