I would suggest waiting if you are planning stay within the cider style. Juice with no sugar added usually finishes around 4.5+ ABV in my experience. However if you want to reach applewine alcohol levels use 2 lbs of corn sugar (or table) for a 5 gallon batch per Edwort's recipe.

Stop by the local recycling center. I picked up enough bottles for 4 batches in one visit when I first started bottling. I just nuked them in a bath of oxyclean and never had problems.

Contact a local home brew club to see if they do a bulk order. My club buys a pallet twice a year and sometimes we have enough space for non members. Bulk grain orders are worth the effort since you get a 55lb bag of Canadian 2 row for half of retail prices (including shipping).

+1 on the Liquor store. You can get all the boxes that you want for free and large enough to store bombers. My local store has a wall of boxes that I help myself to. You can usually get matching boxes if you care about consistency.

I contacted a supplier who said that they carry 5 gallon figal kegs. I am trying to get clarification on what a figal tank is. I am waiting on pictures to compare against corny. It seems strange to me that he doesn’t understand exactly what he has.

Anyone using a figal tank for kegging? I can't find much information about these on the Internet or HBT. Thanks in advance for any information.
