The OP and I hashed this out a few weeks ago. Its quite close. May want to cut down on the bittering hop just a bit.

I have no intentions of doing this myself anytime soon, but the inability to see the inside of plate chillers has got me wondering:
Has anyone ever cut open an old broken or decommissioned plate chiller just to see if anything nasty is festering in the corners or seemingly hard to reach...
West Knox (WKUD) from 1/8/14. Had to send sample to Ward Labs since WKUD has proved to be quite worthless answering customers.

From Diary of a Hophead interview in 3/24/13 with John Mallett of Bells:
"Mallett: The book Im writing right now is on malt and malting. Its part of a series the Brewers Association is putting out on the raw materials of beer. Theres one on water, theres one on hops."
It's NOT online at all. It's one of the best decisions I've made in my life, and I left a good job to do this. Its very legit and very challenging. Go for it! It won't cost you 17K since you've already had some education and core college courses.
I haven't cleaned a single mash tun yet...
I should probably buy some separate check valves then. Maybe they should edit their "check valve" claim on the product...I just can't see any integrated apparatus on this thing. Its a simple brass manifold with ball valves...nothing in there stops backflow.
The Story: Last night I hooked up the CO2 to my keg to carbonate. Much to my surprise, the beer immediately shot up in to the CO2 line--->distributor--->C02 line going to tank. I pulled the plug before it reached my regulator luckily. Apparently, I filled the keg too high and the beer was...
I noticed a small amount of white fuzzy mold near the wort openings in my therminator today. Water side is clean. Any suggestions on how to clean and prevent this from happening again?
My typical clean regimen involves pumping some hot PBW solution through after brewing, rinsing with hot...
What's up with this stuff? Does it go out of season or is it just hard to find? I can't seem to find it anywhere recently. Any major differences between regular white wheat malt?...Acceptable substitutes?
Hey. It turns out i just wasn't using the regulator properly. I wasn't opening it up more after the original lighting of the flame and adjusting the air intake. I have been getting great boils now. Sometimes i get propane freeze near the end of the tank, which greatly reduces the flame...
Had this same thing happen to me today. I made the starter with Wyeast 1968 last night(~12 hours ago), put it on the stir plate and woke up this morning to find the cottage cheese appearance. No evidence of any krausen, foaming, or bubbles.
Made an identical starter with 1968 a few weeks...
I wonder why it didn't "roll" then. There was minimal movement on the top of the wort. I could see particles swimming around but definitely no rolling action.
