That would work if my temp probe was in the kettle. Mine is in a t just out of the kettle and I monitor temp while recirculating the mash. Once that’s done, I just want to use the controller to control the boil. Thanks though!

Does anyone else experience this? After mash, when I switch my controller to manual mode, it will not send power to the element if the set value is below the wort temp. Shouldn’t the SV not affect the output in manual mode? Aren’t I just using the output based on PW? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hey all, I have a short in my pt100 temp probe wire. I see that I can order replacement thermocouple wire, but I can’t seem to figure out how to get to the wires in the quick disconnect. How does the disconnect come apart? Has anyone ever replace the wire and can help me out? Thanks

Nice to see I’m not the only one up early. I mashed in at 5:45am this morning! So I changed it to 1, and it’s doing the same thing but every 1 second instead of 4. Obviously it’s working as it’s supposed to, I just never noticed it doing that before and I’ve used this 50+ times. So thanks...

I’m brewing again tomorrow so I’ll see if it still happens. I actually timed it with a stop watch and it was 4seconds. Hopefully a good rest and it’ll be back to normal tomorrow! Thanks again!

Yes. After I wrote that I figured I should clarify. . It’s not the pulsing. I know it does that when approaching SV and to hold temp. This is doing it when the SV is reached and being held. It’s definitely some type of code because it’s every 4 seconds. Thanks though!

hello, Does anyone know why the output light on my IPB-16 is flashing every 4 seconds? The unit seems to be working ok, but when it reaches SV it just flashes every 4 seconds. I assume it’s some type of warning/failure code. Thanks!
