has anyone found Gambrinus Premium in the USA?

Agreed. I've been looking for Staropramen and Gambrinus since the first time i got back from Prague 4 years ago with no luck... oh well an excuse to go back i guess =) I remember finding somewhere you could order staropramen kegs online...

    American IPA Haphazard IPA

if they're grouped together just dump them all in. generally while i'm waiting for the water to boil i get out several bowls and separate out the hops. i.e. put all of the 60min hops in one bowl, 30min in another and put a little sticky note on them. that way if i'm too distracted (or...

    American IPA Haphazard IPA

I do... just dump them both in at the beginning of the boil and you're off! If i were more concerned with color i may add the amber later. overall it looks and tastes great the way it is, slightly more amber-ish than some IPAs.

    First Partial Mash!

I was originally looking at White Labs 300 or 380 but thought I'd mix it up a bit. If you think the results will suck, then I'll give one of those a shot.

    First Partial Mash!

I was floating the idea of the Chinook, but I doubt I'll end up using them. I'm not trying to make a wit, but the yeast properties looked interesting. I'm just shooting for an enjoyable dark wheat. If you have a suggestion on a different yeast strain I'm open to suggestions!

    First Partial Mash!

Thanks guys, I'm more or less attempting to follow DeathBrewer's guide (here). I was planning on mashing in a smaller pot (2-3 gal capacity I think) and pour it into my boil pot (5 gal capacity). Also planning on topping off with water in my primary. So I guess the general consensus is that I...

    Volcano!

So I just brewed another batch of my IPA and I was a little disappointed last time with the actual beer i yielded. I decided in my infinite wisdom to add about 3/4 gallon of watter to the batch. Came home today and the foam in the fermenter (bucket) had "blown-off" the airlock and I had a nice...

    Rusty's IPA

Well on new years eve we drank about 1/2 this batch. Everyone loved it but I was a little disappointed. Not that it wasn't good, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to give this another shot and make some changes to the hop addition times. I'm going to move the Nuggets to...
