Blonde Ale Miller Lite (Really Triple Hopped)

I've gone all the way through this thread but don't seem to remember if anyone asked this question. Has anyone made this without the corn in the recipe and just upped the 2 row to get the same OG? I've made a bunch of this beer with the exact recipe but am curious on how much different it...

I built a kegerator for our kitchen that the wife was alright with

It is a little louder than our dishwasher and our dishwasher is pretty quiet. We usually sit within about 6 feet of it and you notice it but it isn’t overly annoying.

The heat hasn’t been a problem yet and I’m not so sure it will be. It doesn’t run very much at all. Also - I actually thought this would be louder. I’d like it a little quieter but it is barely louder than our dishwasher. It might be something that annoys the wife the longer we have it though.

It does. I just wired the two wires for the thermostat directly together and have it set on low cool. Of course it is plugged into a STC-1000 that is set at 36 degrees. I also have a fan blowing into the evaporator from the inside to make sure it doesn't freeze. I don't know if it would but I've...

So I got really tired of bottling beer as many of you have but I couldn't come up with a solution to get a kegerator that worked with my wife's taste. I also didn't want to have to go to the garage or basement for a beer. Here is the end result. It will likely fit 5 kegs if they are packed tight...

Attempting a light IPA with a hint of Rye

Thank you for the comments and the help. I think I'll revamp the recipe a little bit and make a RyeIpa and a separate light IPA. After those are done maybe I'll do a combination of the two.

Attempting a light IPA with a hint of Rye

This is really my first attempt at making my own recipe. I know it is really simple but wanted to see if anything stood out as something I should not do. I want a fairly light IPA type beer that is easy drinking and light in color - and just a bit spicy from the rye. I'm not a huge fan of malt...

Blonde Ale Miller Lite (Really Triple Hopped)

Wanted to thank Schlenkerla for this recipe as well as for getting me back into brewing beer. It had been 6 years since I brewed and all I ever did was extract. This was my first all grain attempt and it is really good for an easy drinking beer. It also got some of my friends to think twice...

    Greetings!

PW here. I first wanted to thank all the folks who offer all their hard earned knowledge to the rest of us! I used to be a member on this forum back when I brewed quite a bit. I took about a 5 year vacation from it and am just now getting back in. I have only done extract brews because that is...

Blonde Ale Miller Lite (Really Triple Hopped)

I've read every post on this thread and am extremely impressed with all of you guys and gals. Thank you Schlenkerla for posting this recipe! I just have a couple quick questions about brewing the extract recipe. Schlenkerla, you wrote that using the rice will make it more like Bud Light. I'm...
