    Input on Black IPA recipe

So Im brewing a black IPA or Hoppy porter, or RIS, whatever you want to call it. But heres what I've come up with. Where I'm looking for the most input is on my hop schedule. I feel I may have gone overboard with 10 oz. of hops, but I want it to be roasty and very hoppy, so please give me some...

Thanks for the responses. I am using Sumatra Coffee as well. The recipe for founders breakfast stout on BYO called for sumatra at flameout, and kona in secondary. I was gonna do the bottling day method instead of secondary. But I can see what you all are saying, sumatra being very bold, it...

    Dark vs Light LME

Thanks guys. I have a couple ingredient kits on the shelf starting to get some age, so I wanna combine the good stuff and make a big nasty Imperial out of it. I'll put it in a brew calculator too and tweak from there.

    Dark vs Light LME

I've seen a couple answers about this, but my question is, I'm brewing an Imperial Stout. Most recipes call for Light Extract, but I have some extra Dark extract. Why not use it? Especially in an Imperial Stout. Does it have to do with fermentables?

Most annoying response when you tell someone you're a homebrewer?

I don't know why this annoys me, but this has happened about 3 times Me: I homebrew Them: I'd like to make whiskey, now that'd be cool. This usually means, I know nothing about beer, therefore I have nothing to add to your conversation

Wow, that was a wild guess. I live in Huntington, but I've done a lot of Drywall in the Ridges. Recognized those steep hills haha. Good looking plants.

Having never been there at all, there's a lot of options. We're looking at Half Acre, maybe Local Option, also saw a...
