    Spice Tea Timing

Contemplating the same thing. Just brewed a Pumpkin Porter during the hurricane. It's bubbling away right now. I was thinking about racking to secondary on top of a pumpkin spice tea for extra pumpkin pie flavor... I steeped organic pumpkin puree in a hop bag on top of some 6 Row and steeped...

    One step sanitizer and bottling

+1 StarSan. I use StarSan with a Vinator or I santize in my dishwasher on the sanitize cycle. Both methods have worked flawlessly.

    One step sanitizer and bottling

Not sure scientifically speaking but I'm sure someone will weigh in. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable using them. I think what you did was a little excessive. I would start over. Good luck! :mug:

    To secondary or not secondary

I think that saying it's easier to leave in primary because it's extra work to secondary is valid. I was just saying in another thread that this comes down to preference and not waniting to do extra work makes sense as far as a reason why one wouldn't secondary. Where I think it gets heated is...

Spawn from another thread..leave brew in primary, or rack once before bottling??

Yeah but this is just a personal preference. If you make great beer that you've racked to secondary with no infections then why would you worry about contamination? I've never had that issue. I can see why someone would be scared to do a secondary if you messed up a batch and got infected but...
