another simple trick is to wrap a wet towel around the fermenter and put a box fan or any fan really in front of the fermenter....cools is down a few degrees. I tried this last night and dropped the temp by 4
sorry to jump in here late but if you are stuck on bittering then yea earlier hop additions are a must but, if you are more worried about hop flavor then keep your late additions.. One technique that I've been doing for all my pale ales and ipa's is hop whilpooling.....pretty much cool your wort...
